The train only honks as it leaves the station and not as it arrives.

I used this a ton back in 1.0, it was working great before.

Go into the runtime mod settings and adjust them to your heart's content. The stopping honk gets overwhelming in big bases so I changed it to default off.

But I already looked there. I set 'Diesel sound when braking for station' to 'Long Horn' but the train still only honks when starting. Is this the wrong setting?

That's the right setting, not sure why it wouldn't be working. Are you sure you confirmed the setting change, and didn't hit escape by accident? Can you send me your save file?
